Today, a request for a referendum under Article 114 of the Constitution has been submitted to the Prime Minister, Minister of State, Xavier Bettel, by an initiative committee in the context of the revision of Chapters I, II, III, V, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI and XII of the Constitution.

As the total number of valid registrations is less than 25,000 signatures, the request of 22 October 2021 to hold a referendum on the proposal to revise Chapter VI of the Constitution was not successful.

Today, the Prime Minister, Minister of State, Xavier Bettel, has decided that the request for the organisation of a referendum on the proposed revision of Chapter VI of the Constitution, submitted by an initiative committee and received on 26 October 2021, is declared admissible as it meets the requirements set by the amended law of 4 February 2005.
