Article 29 of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities provides that electoral procedures, equipment and election materials must be adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities.

Below you will find documents developed by the Ministry for Family Affaires, Integration and for the Greater Region; Info-Handicap; the center for easy-to-read information "KLARO"; the Centre for Civic Education "Zentrum fir politesch Bildung" and the Centre for the Development of competences related to vision "CDV".

Their purpose is to enable all people, including people with intellectual disabilities and people with limited reading and writing skills, to participate in the elections without the help of a third person.

Check Politik

The booklets of the series Check Politik are written in an easy-to-read style.

The texts address people who wish to access information that is easy to read. The information is always about society and politics. Every booklet is about a different topic.

The booklets are publish by  the “Zentrum fir politesch Bildung” and “Klaro”.

The Ministry for Family Affaires, Integration and for the Greater Region, the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth and the European Parliament Office in Luxembourg have helped to publish this booklet.
